I recently got to go through the temple on June 22nd, 2009. It was quite amazing. Really overwhelming at first, but as I have gone more and more I have come to love the temple. Specifically the Celestial Room. As I sit in that room and feel, I am overcome by a sense of comfort and warmth that fills me to the brim. I can just close my eyes and I feel at home. The temple does an amazing job at bringing me back to the eternal perspective. I have had the amazing opportunity to go to three different temples over the past two weeks. The Timpanogos (the one I went through for my own endownment), the Provo, and the Manti. I loved the Manti temple. It felt like a mansion, the mansion of my Lord and Savior. I could picture Jesus living there. The outside of it is magnificent with the beautiful cream colored bricks up to it's glistening purpley pearly roofs. I thoroughly enjoyed those distinct and different experiences. After going through the temple my desire for my family to join me was ever present. I got to go with my brother, my father, mother, grandpa and grandma porcaro, a few of mi tias, my bishop, my old bishops wife, Beryl, and last but not least Sheresa (who in fact is leaving this next wednesday for Independence, MO on a mission.) AWESOME!!! Roo and I have been doing the whole mission process together, her always being one step ahead. What a great example to me she has been. So, in preparation for my mission I have been taking Spanish 101, let's just say I am hoping to pass. Now, before you think I am a complete slacker, a passing grade in that class is an 80%. However, it has excited me for the language that I am going to be speaking for the next two years of my life. I can say quite a bit and understand even more than that which is good. I cannot say I have done it alone. There is this thing that I hold near and dear to my heart called the gift of tongues which I have definately felt blessed with over the course of mi clase de espanol. Over the next two years I will transform into a spanish speaking beast. Also, I have been reading an awesome book titled, "a marvelous work and a wonder." It has gotten me pumped for my mission. I hope that I can enter the MTC full of courage and strength from Heavenly Father. I pray for his strength daily. There is nothing I can do without his strength and the Holy ghost to guide my way.
